“Royson will be patrolling and may this be a warning: No funny stuff”
Adolphus Griffin addressed the sullen young man and woman sitting in his tall office chairs. Both rewarded him with identical glares yet raised their hands as to promise they wouldn’t attempt anything on Royson, the old gatekeeper. He smiled warmly, undoubtedly fueling their anger.
“I trust this house will remain intact and you will take care of each other.” He chuckled as he left, hearing sounds of disgust as he closed the door behind him.

Sabrina looked sideways at the boy that sat down next to her. He was annoyed but also curious. She raised an eyebrow, inquiring silently. Nolan shifted his position, inviting Sabrina to lean into him. Sabrina smiled and brought his hands over to circle her stomach.
“What have I done?” she asked seriously although Nolan heard none of that in her voice.
“That’s what I’d like to know. Greg’s been throwing longing looks at you for over the past hour but you already knew that, right?”
Sabrina chuckled, of course having known. “Nolan, don’t move.&rdq
